We make alt-protein meat blocks combining the power of both worlds: plant-based proteins and fermentation. Our secret sauce for whole cut plant proteins is fermentation.
Fermentation cleans the beany aftertaste reducing use of maskers, bitter blockers and added flavors. Fermentation naturally provides BBQ hues, leaving the Maillard reaction to finish the touch. Thus, fermentation makes secondary ingredients obsolete and cleans the label. Native fiber kept in protein ingredients allows creating a whole-cut juicy texture, and retains moisture.
Healthy for the planet
We all understand that plant based products have a lower carbon footprint: getting 1 calorie from beef requires 9 plant calories spent in animal agriculture. We take it further.
Protein extraction discards nutrients (yellow pea contains just 24% protein) and loses up to 25% protein in the process. Planet Ribs’ zero-waste process keeps all the nutrients in place. This is why Planet Ribs have a 25x lower carbon footprint than beef.

After being born in the USSR (now Belarus) and then relocating to Moscow, I had a chance to build a couple of companies, but wanted to look at things from a global angle. How does each country respect their shareholders in the short term and long term? Looking from a long-term angle, I saw that no country was caring about the Earth as a whole. This perspective made me a Planetarian.
I relocated myself to a place more receptive to new ideas for the better world. I started doing what depends on me - developing and selling products benefiting the Earth.
After several iterations, we come bearing planet-friendly whole cut plant proteins that people love.
